That shadow you just can't make out...
Fear only exists because you don’t trust the present moment. If you attempt to control what is happening in the present, you allow space for fear to enter. It is in your questioning of the moment and worry that your control will slip that fear and worry take hold. If you are truly immersed in the present moment any thoughts about the future that present themselves have the potential to allow fear to enter. When we allow the fear of loss of control in, we lose the traction and momentum of the present moment. Mindfulness allows us to create new patterns that illuminate these unwelcome thoughts and feelings so they may pass without derailing us from the present moment.
